November Updates: New Schedule, Sauna, and Curriculum Reset

Starting November 10: we're resetting the curriculum to Week 1, launching a new class schedule, opening the sauna, and running Bring a Friend Week.

November Updates: New Schedule, Sauna, and Curriculum Reset

A lot is changing at The Garden starting November 10, and I wanted to lay it all out in one place so nobody's confused.

Curriculum resets to Week 1

We're cycling back to the beginning of our No-Gi curriculum, starting with takedown fundamentals: stance, movement, pummeling, and hand-fighting.

This is great timing for two reasons. If you're new, you're starting from the actual beginning — no feeling like you missed something. If you've been training for a while, you're revisiting the foundations with sharper eyes. Fundamentals don't expire. The best grapplers I know drill takedowns constantly.

New class schedule

We've reorganized based on feedback and what we're seeing in attendance. Here's the rundown:

Morning (6:00 AM)

  • Mon/Wed/Fri: No-Gi BJJ
  • Tue/Thu: Muay Thai + Gi BJJ

    Evening (6:30-7:15 PM)

  • Mon/Wed/Fri: Muay Thai + No-Gi
  • Tue/Thu: Gi + No-Gi

    Saturday

  • Gi Training
  • Co-ed Open Mat
  • Women's No-Gi

Kids: Ages 4-12, RSVP through the schedule page for specific times.

The big change is more options for people who want to cross-train between disciplines. You can now get Muay Thai and BJJ in the same session on most days.

    The sauna is live

Traditional sauna at The Garden MMA

We went with a traditional sauna — real stones, real steam, real heat. Not infrared. The recovery difference for combat athletes is significant. After a hard session, 8-12 minutes in the sauna helps flush out inflammation and loosen up deep tissue tightness.

It's available to members after any class. Bring a towel, bring water, and don't overdo it.

Bring a Friend Week: November 10-16

For one week, anyone you want to bring trains free. No commitment, no sales pitch. Just sign a waiver and get on the mat.

This is how most of our best members found us — someone they trusted brought them in. If you've got a friend, a sibling, a coworker who's been curious, this is the week.

    Questions

Hit me up after class or message through the app. The full schedule is on our schedule page — RSVP ahead so we know you're coming.
