Judah Ciervo, Founder

Judah, a seasoned Muay Thai and mixed martial arts competitor, began his training in 1997 and competed at the amateur level for 9 years and as a professional for over 4 years . In 2002 Judah became a Muay Thai instructor and began training in Sambo and MMA while coaching and competing for the Philadelphia Fight Factory where he was a sparring partner for future MMA standouts such as Eddie Alvarez and Zach Makovsky. With a successful pro MMA debut in 2008 and pro Muay Thai debut in 2009, Judah fought both nationally and internationally, including a bout against the 2010 Pradal Serey national champion in Cambodia. Although no longer competing in Muay Thai or MMA, Judah continues to compete in No Gi grappling, winning the first Finishers Open at 145lbs in 2018, placing 3rd at the IBJJF No Gi World Championships as a brown belt in 2021 and was awarded his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Phil and Ricardo Migliarese in January 2022.

Keren is a martial artist, yoga instructor, and co-founder of The Garden MMA. Since discovering Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2016, she has embraced competition as a way to challenge herself and continue growing on the mats. Certified in yoga since 2017, Keren brings her focus on movement, recovery, and mindfulness into her training and teaching.
At The Garden MMA, she manages operations, design, and community outreach, helping create a space where everyone feels welcome. Starting mid-November, Keren will also be teaching No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, adding her unique perspective as an active competitor to the team’s coaching lineup.
